Help with breed

I was told its a rooster, but gets bullied by the hens. They control it any ideas about breed?

Do you know how old the bird is? How about a profile picture? And any idea about parentage, specifically what breed each parent is?

Ok profile pic coming up. Was Told Its a Dixie Rainbow but if it's a rooster not crowing yet guess to young . I'm very new to raising birds. Lost 2 Buff Orps still have 1

It looks more like a rooster based on the tail feathers. Some are quieter than others but he may be too young.

He does look like a young rooster. He's a mixed breed, may have been someone's project trying to create a Rhodebar, or just a mixed breed bird. I love the calico barring, it's one of my favorite patterns!

I'd say he's just young, that's why the ladies don't respect him yet. He'll earn it sooner or later, it may take a few more months.

It might be a Dixie Rainbow rooster. From what I understand Dixie Rainbows (also sold under the label Pioneers) are multi-breed hybrids that come in many color patterns (hence the name rainbow). Sort of a chicken hybrid version of leftover soup (lots of things thrown into the pot so that no two batches are exactly the same). With a mix like this, it could easily resemble a Rhodebar rooster (which it does).
