Help with chickens foot

I bought two new hens today. I didn't pick them but when I got home, one of my girls has an odd foot. Its as though the middle toe was stretched and from the nail and about 1 inch down it was dead flesh. About a minute later the nail and dead flesh fell off. She didnt seem bothered but there was some blood. Do I need to treat her in case if infection? Or will it heal on its own? Not sure what to do and im trying to not have to go to the vet. Thank you

where did you buy your hens?

Can you take a picture of the foot?

I don't know what is going on with the foot, but I would say it would be best to treat it with anti bacterial ointment and wrap it. Chickens step in their poop and other stuff all day long, and you don't want an infection.

I bought them from a farm services store where i have bought other hens from before. Ill try and take a photo tomorrow. It was just a bit hard today as they were new and too.much comotion with all the other chickens.

Can i get antibacterial stuff from anywhere? Im just not sure what to put on it

yeah use any, like neosporin or knock off brand.
