Help with clean up of my Profile page

I have the x only on the ones I am subscribed to. If you click "subscribe" in the lower right hand corner of the thread line, it will then give you the x to click on. However, the x does *not* delete it from the list, it only unsubscribes you from that thread.

If you want them *deleted* from your activity section you have to remove them by doing the following:

1) click on profile tab

2) click on subscriptions link (has the star symbol and it's in the upper right corner under your 'inbox'

3) click "REMOVE" next to the threads you're no longer interested in viewing.

That only helps for our subscriptions.. We're thinking of just regular threads that we don't want to check back on anytime soon.

I know..but the only way I have found to remove these threads is by subscribing to them and then removing them, as far as I know that's the only way to remove them from your recent activity.

I just tried it, and it's still there. I added this thread to my subscriptions, and went to the star by the messages and removed it. It was still on my profile as a recent topic

Hmmm...curiouser and curiouser. It might be something to ask the admin to think about adding a feature that would allow for recent activity to be removed then. I really don't think there is an option for that. The red X people are referring to is only to unsubscribe, not delete. If you're not subscribed to a thread the X won't show up...I don't think it's a browser issue.

Might be a nice feature to think about adding...I never really thought about it.

Well I found where are talking about, but there is nothing there its says I have no forums or subscriptions and there is nothing there to delete the key for it is not allowed to work because there isn't anything to delete.......It says no records found......ggrrrrrr

When you say "remove them from my profile page", do you mean the "Recent Activity" portion of your profile page?

Regarding the "red x": Make sure you are using the newest browser (we suggest Chrome or Firefox) and have tried clearing your cache.

You can also click on "Subscriptions" and then the "Edit My Subscriptions" tab.

Note, none of these features are tied to user membership type (GFM, PPM, etc.) All members should have all these features available.

While you should be able to easily unsubscribe from any thread, any threads you can't (that I know of) remove them from your "recent activity" etc. if you've participated in them.

I would have to agree, making them available to delete from the activity page would be an awsum improvement..........
So basically at this time you can unsubscribe. but not delete threads from your activity page that you used to follow, but are no longer an active thread. I have some that have not had posts in them in over a year. i also have some that I no longer follow because the people in the thread are standoffish, or rude. I sure would like to clean up those pages. To make my daily search easier to keep up with for threads that I do like to see if there is new information on. Kim
