Crested khaki Campbell ducklings? Who knew?? My Drake and girls were plain KCs. Now 2 of my 5 ducklings are puff heads. They are so cute and I now looked at photos of adults and it's 😂 hilarious! Worried about the breeding in the future which I kinda wanted to stop unless I sell the fertilized eggs. I lost my Drake to an attack by a crazy dog while my girls were broody and then I adopted some Peking girls.. possible crested Drake KC to play with the Peking?? But not with his momma! What's the breeding specs on son and mother breeding? What's the specs on the crested?? Just not both crested?? I just have to take a break from a Drake I guess. But I really miss my Drake!! I would imagine a crested Drake would be a hoot!! They are the boss...too young to tell but one head looks darker. Help

:welcome aren't they adorable. Thankfully small crests but here is some good info on crested

If you have crested females I believe I'd keep them from the drakes if you have one or more in your group because those poofs of feathers only have skin under them [no skull] which with drakes grabbing hold of during mating can cause serious damage, But mother and son mating should be fine. From what I understand it's many generations before you have to worry about abnormalities. Maybe @Pyxis can shed some light on it.
Very sorry for the loss of your drake.

Thank you... They seem to be very smart and well developed. I am going to hang onto them to possibly fight the stigma! Good makes miracles... Not mistakes. I will post my research on these two... Hoping one is a Drake and one female...I might pass on the Drake after a few romps with my Peking. I am emotionally drained by this clutch so I might just dutch drake's all together at this point?? Thanks for the info
