Help with determining Ivermectin dose please

My flock has depluming mites attacking a number of my girls. I have Ivermectin .8% drench available to put in their water, but I can't figure the proper dosage. Their water supply holds exactly 5 gallons. Because Ivermectin can be fatal at high doses I am not confident in my abilty to figure the proper amount to add to their water. Any help is appreciated.

Hmmm have you tried any other treatment for the mites? I can’t seem to find much about using ivermetin in water to treat them. Here is what I’ve found about depluming mites on poultry dmv, though:

I ammonly familiar with pour on ivermectin use. Dosage of the 5mg per ml pour on is 0.1 ml for each 2 pounds of weight, and then repeat in 14 days. Be aware that ivermectin is not approved for chickens, and has a long egg withdrawal time. Do you think that your hens may be feather picking each other? Can you post some pictures?
