help with draining chicken or is she egg bound

i want to drain the area below my chickens vent but unsure where to stick the needle and how far to go in I checked her vent tonight with my finger seems really hard to get very far in her vent seems like a very hard spot in there do you think she may be egg bound gave her a shot of olive oil in the vent and gave her some food with oil on it shall i wait to see if the oil does her any good

If you think she is eggbound, try giving her a warm bath to relax muscles and get the egg out.

It would be good if you could set her in warm water ASAP. Also, if you could put a heat lamp over her. These might help to get that egg going.
