Help please!! My just over two week old duckling dropped in paralysis all of a sudden while walking on the grass. We had just come from a stream where ‘she’ swam and pecked around. I was hoping she would be better after the night but she hasn’t opened her eyes and twitches when I touch her. She forages on her own and might have eaten or drank something that is causing this, but I do not know what. What can I do at this point to help her? More info can be given as well as video if someone responds. I don’t want to move her more than I need to at this point. Thanks in advance.

Do you know maybe if the area had been sprayed with pesticides? Or maybe she got a hold of a poisonous plant? Is this on your land? Some streams, etc have run off of all sorts of stuff.
It was a stream in the forest nearby. Then we went to the beach where she hunts for pill bugs on the washed up logs and walking down, I check to make sure she’s following and that’s when I saw her sprawled out on the grass. I was worried about runoff after trying to find some information online after it happnened. I don’t know what to do if it is a toxin or poisonous plant… Not sure if I should force feed her or just let her continue to rest. Her eyes are still closed. When I talk to her she responds and tries to move but kind of shakily moves. She can push herself up on her legs but is wobbly. I can hear weird crunching sounds coming from within her. Not her mouth.

Can you tell if it sounds like a respiratory or digestive issue? Have you felt her crop to see if it's hard or blocked up?
Sounds like it’s coming from further down, thought it was her little bum at first. It has stopped. She ‘grinds her teeth’ every once in a while but she has always done that in her sleep. She is still pooping and no issues breathing. Her crop feels soft albeit empty : ( Every once in a while I give her honey/watermelon water. Will do it one more time then let her rest while I go out to get some supplies.

Poops look normal although decreasing in size and frequency as she isn’t ingesting anything but a little liquid at a time.

Any improvements since getting some water into her? Btw if you want to post a video you need to upload it to somewhere like YouTube first, and then you can link/embed it here.
