Help with egg color genetics please

this is a bit dated but:

Egg shell color is due to a couple of genes we could call blue & brown. There are likely a lot more genes as well as gene modifiers involved. A vwhite shell is the absence of of blue or brown.
The brown color is ooporphyrin and is primarily deposited on the outside of the white shell, it is a chemical compound which results from hemoglobin metabolism. The brown can be easily removed from th3e shell by rubbing/washing. I know of only one brown thorouhout shell. There may be a few more?
The blue shell pigment is called oocyanin and is a byproduct of bile formation and it is present thru out the total eggshell. Blue is dominant over white. The green egg shell color appears when genes for both the brown and the blue are present. All colors can vary. There is more to shell color, more is learned all the time but this is a simple run down. Its an interesting study.
