I know this topic has been brought up a few times but I really need help. I have 6 hens and was getting 5-6eggs a day for months. All of a sudden I wasn't getting any. Done a little investigating and there eating all the eggs. Not just one of the chickens but a few. How to stop them?? Filled eggs with dish soap and they still aye the egg and soap. Any other ideas?

If several are doing it, investigate roll-out nest boxes. When the eggs are laid, they roll to where the hens can't get them.

About any chicken will eat an egg that is opened. That is not an egg eater. An egg eater is a chicken that purposely opens an egg to eat it. There is a big difference there. If it is only one opening them, getting rid of her would solve your problem. But if it is some or all, you need to either get rid of all of them and start over or build roll-out nest boxes.
