Help with gender!

Hi everyone! I purchased 6 chicks from Tractor Supply about 3.5 weeks ago. 3 Barred Rocks and 3 Welsummer. I'm worried that three of them are roosters and would love some help! (I've posted two pictures of each of the three chicks. BR 1, Welsummer and BR2. Thanks for your help!

I agree that both barred rock 1 and 2 look like cockerels to me. Their combs are pretty prominent, but the main tell is the amount of white in the bars when compared to a pullet (like the one in the background of BR11.jpeg).

I've not had Welsummers so I will let someone else be the judge on that chick.

Yes, at the stated age.. I do believe you are correct.

. Those really do look like roosters to me. Their combs are much too big at that age for a pullet, especially BR1 and the Welsummer.

The barred rocks definitely look like cockerels to me. I have never had Welsummers before, but the comb does look quite big and dark, especially since it is only 3.5 weeks old.

So I’m not 100% sure of their age. I picked them up at TS on 4/5. They were not there on 4/1. So they showed up sometime between those 4 days. I’m not sure how old they are when they ship. So maybe between 3.5-4.5 weeks? I don’t know. Lol.

I’m really bummed. We were hopeful to add 6 new hens to our flock but apparently we are only adding 3.

Chicks are usually shipped very soon after they hatch, so your estimate of ~3.5 weeks is probably about right.
