They do not need to be in lockdown until they are at least drawn down which happens just prior to the internal pip. It does not hurt to wait to lock down until they do internally pip.at what point should they be in lockdown?

Ok..I think I get it. By drawn down…do you mean they have turned toward the air cell So that their head is near it?They do not need to be in lockdown until they are at least drawn down which happens just prior to the internal pip. It does not hurt to wait to lock down until they do internally pip.
Draw down means the air cell is at a slant instead of straight across. It's also slightly larger. They don't internally pip until after they draw down.Ok..I think I get it. By drawn down…do you mean they have turned toward the air cell So that their head is near it?
This one is either rotten or the air cell is on the other end. I vote rotten.I took some pictures of the eggs I am having trouble identifying as still viable. The last one…the egg is full with the bird (which is why it shows that way in the picture), but I cannot see any air cell. The others seem like they could be ok...but being new it’s still hard for met to tell and I am not discarding anything I think may still hatch. Can an experienced eye tell me if these are still alive?
Ok…I took care of those. Anything with the other 6 you can tell? BTW…thank you SO much. I really appreciate your help with this. This one is either rotten or the air cell is on the other end. I vote rotten.

This is a bad egg. Remove and dispose of.

This is developing but isn't close.

BTW…I looked for internal pipping closely when I candled…and again at the one you marked internal pipping. I just don’t see it. The ‘air cell’ seems to be all on the side and the inside movement was very ‘flowing’. I put it in the lockdown incubator. This one is either rotten or the air cell is on the other end. I vote rotten.
