Well it looks like we've lost another chick. One of my broodies left it out in the cold all night. I put it under another trusty broody but there's probably not much hope right @TheKindaFarmGal?

No it hasn't. I'm guessing it was 10-15C 50-59F.I'm sorry...had it hatched by itself already? Was it alive, fluffy? What are your temps at night?

So last night it was 50-59F. One of my broody hens, Mabel, pushed the egg out from under her chest. In the morning I candled it and I can't tell if it's dead or alive. I put it under another broody who's a lot more friendlier than Mabel and I trust her not to push the egg out.I'm confused. What exactly happened? Sorry...

Oh no.Ok. I thought you meant a hatched chick was pushed out of the nest at first.
Depending on how long it was out, it could be fine or not. What day is it on?
Oh no.
I'm thinking 17.
Ok great.Ok...well, I can't say for sure. It really depends on how long it was out of the nest, and it is farther along so that does give it a better change of being ok. But we'll see.
Ok great.
Thanks so much for all the help you've given me!
