I have an older hen, "Trinita" who is an Australorp. I think she is about 6-7 years old, has stopped laying this summer (it's been horribly hot here in NC) her comb is pale, but now she is unsteady on her feet, falling over at times and sitting with closed eyes. I'm afraid she is dying. She tries to rally, and has very wet, yellow poo. Anyone out there who can fill me in?

first i would give her some pedalite, or gator ade for electrolytes.. she may be sick or, as you say could be dying.check and make sure there isnt nothing around she could of eaten and got sick from. make sure she has plenty of shade.runny poo can be caused by alot of things cant really say what for sure. being unsteady could be from eating poison or something that isnt good for her. but getting some electrolytes in her should be your first and quick response..
