Just BS, no Pied.Looks like black shoulder pied back then! Any updates?
I would say BS hen. Be thankful it's not a male since it looks like you're being buddy buddy with it. Being buddy buddy with male chicks means you end up with a raging monster of a bird who will attacks you when his testosterone levels start going up.
He is beautiful.Just BS, no Pied.
Exactly what happened to me with my IB BS pied Angel. He was the very first I got last year waiting for others to hatch out from the breeder. I bonded with him. Legit a day after he turned 2 months old he started biting me and such. He is now a year old and 2 months and some days he just watches me when I’m in their enclosure and other days he pecks me until I leave. The pair of IB I got were a couple months old when I got them so they don’t care for me but leave me alone. Hopefully this peachick makes it and is a hen! We will see!I would say BS hen. I see no signs of Pied in this IBBS cock. He may be carrying Dark Pied, but it is well hidden.Exactly what happened to me with my IB BS pied Angel. Any guesses lol? The wound seems to be healing and it is still eating and drinking well! I’ll keep everyone updated!View attachment 3218867Hi ya’ll new to BYC! I have a trio of 1yr old peafowl and yesterday I rescued a peachick with a hurt knee. I am trying to not get my hopes up but trying to nurse it back to health! (I have been on a waiting list for chicks from a breeder/friend and it has been a awful hatching year for her flock. This is the only chick that has made it this year and as I said it hurt.) the first 2 hatched died within days and this is the last to hatch and she is not hopeful the rest of the eggs will. big sigh! I got my IB black shoulder pied from her last year and a white hen that didn’t make it. The IB pair I got from another breeder. Anyways… It’s 3 days old so I’m not really trying to sex it yet but of course I’m very curious of the type it may be! The breeder has a pen of multiple types of hens and cocks so the options are many lol! Any guesses? Hopefully it will heal well and we can all find out for sure together! Xxoo
Ps: is this a toe and nail I found on each wing? Weird!
