Hi everyone I am new here and I have a pair of peacocks. The male (peacock) and the female (peahen). I raised the peahen since very little but I bought the peacock so they could mate, I was told that the peacock was at least 6 years old and he was in 100% health when bought.
Thing is, I've noticed that he has been loosing his loud scream and has become like muted or something, he does this thing of like breathing through the mouth and i was told he had like a cold or fungus on the throat and they told me to give him some medicines. I gave him : diseton(pill) , tilan (injection), nistatin (liquid) ,for the fungus metrodimeson(pill-250mg).
Even though i have given that to him it doesnt seem to be solving the problem and he is still the same, I even checked his through and it looks fine, not red, looks evenly and has no spots or nothing. I have a video of he doing this gasp breathing very up close too. That is not normal because he is without voice and like screaming muted. Thats all I can describe, with words.
Can anyone tell me what it might be and how could i cure him or something??
