How do you make a avitar? When I try they say my pictures are too big, so how do you make them smaller to work as an avitar?

OK, I"m stupid........Went to photobucket, downloaded pictures, downsized one to avitar size, copied IGM address and pasted it on where it says location for picture and nothing happens.

What amI not doing?
