Two weeks ago, I hatched 4 out of 5 call duck eggs in a Brinsea MiniAdvance EX, which I know is over your price limit, but the humidity control is absolutely excellent.
I agree with Baralak, and I am fairly certain that you can save an additional 20 per. off the sale price if you go to the "special offers" tab on the right of the Brinsea website. Dont quote me on that(coupons can be decietful lol) but when I visited the webpage that was the way I interpreted it.
Thank you every one for your help.. I finally decided on the Brinsea Octagon 20 ECO and the turn cradle so after shipping got it for 186.00. Now to be patient till spring.. I'll be back on again with more questions when I'm ready to use it. LOL. I'm so tickled that I got it on sale too.
I ordered the incube from INcubator Ware House back in March but had a devil of a time working it. Plus it had problems and had to be replaced. and when I did get to try and hatch some duck eggs it was June I think and by then the 6 eggs I tried weren't viable. I guess my WH Stanley was shooting blanks by then. I think I'll do better with the Brinsea.. I've been wanting one for ahile.. If all goes well maybe in a few years I'll up grade to the next one.

I like the 1588 also... GQF makes some quality products, and that is one.. Now.. they should be for shamed selling that little flying saucer thingie..
I don't dislike any incubator, (except the flying disk) Each has it's good and bad traits. But after playing with several of them.. I really like this Brinsea. It's so easy to operate, and quickly recovers from removing the lid. Easy to clean, super easy to setup..
I wish it could hold more eggs, or could go with the Octagon 40..
Only Incubator I would EVER hatch duck eggs in is a hovabator 1588.... Brinseas dont work very well for ducks. Two well known duck breeders I know have them and dont like them at all. But it is alot of work turning them three times daily and spraying them. I dont recommend using the automatic turner for duck eggs.. Atleast this is my experience.
