Help with sexing laced wyandottes

I just drive like two hours for 3 roosters 2 of those being silver laced Wyandottes, so definitely try Craigslist

Could someone tell me how to post my own threads I have some EE(PRETTY SURE) RSL rooster X RSL hens I wish to post pictures of what I just hatched as well as my 3 week olds

I am looking up threads to try and work out if my 6 1/2 week old gold-laced Wyandotte is a rooster. We were sus, but were almost certain because the beginnings of a red comb appeared. I was going to take it back to the breeder today, when I Googled "Wyandotte pullet" and found out they have red (rose) combs but the combs are flat against their heads. With that extremely new and inexperienced bit of knowledge, I see only 1 definite gold-laced rooster and one possible silver laced rooster in your pics. Don't make soup until you rule me out! http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGP/Wyand/BRKWyand.html

Rose comb isn't the color but the shape. All pullets will get red combs once they reach a certain maturity level. ;) For rose combs there are 2 styles, spiked and non spiked. But it isn't relative to male or female it is relative to breed. And the difference is the point at the back of the comb. The comb tip towards the back stands farther away from the head or lays closer.

If you're getting red combs at 6.5 weeks... it's either flushing or cockerel. Post pics, lets see.

Sorry, I've raised at least 100 birds with MANY of them being cockerels... regardless of the comb the long pointy saddle feathers tell the WHOLE story in addition to the red of the GL's. Females stay more of an orange gold.

All roosters. The combs and wattles are large and they all have pointed sickle feathers next to their tails.
I don't think sickle feathers are that pointed and they are the one on the top of the tail. I think you are talking about the SADDLE feathers.

Sex is made at conception--but hens are slightly more likely to survive at a lower incubation temperature and roosters are slightly more likely to survive at a higher temperature.
I was thinking about this conversation the other day...

And I had a power failure during an incubation this past year. So I wan't to report my result and see how they line up!

I also had a hatcher temp spike I'd like to report results of. Most are already in, but still waiting for confirmation on a couple.
