Help with shipped eggs

Hi Chicken lovers

Does anyone have any experience with either Papa’s Poultry or My Pet Chicken? I have a broody hen so I’m looking to have some eggs shipped. Any advice on there of these egg farms would be great.

I’ve seen mostly good comments about both of those breeders.
But you could also check your state thread, and any neighboring states your may be close to, and the buy/sell/trade forum here to find eggs closer to you that you may be able to get sooner. Unless you are looking for particular breeds. Also craigslist and FAcebook can be decent options for finding local eggs. Shipped eggs are always a gamble.

I've never ordered eggs but I have seen many members absolutely rave over PaPas eggs. All good stuff. I actually have them bookmarked in case I ever do. As far as MYC I love their site in general and imagine they keep a good rep for a reason so they're probably great, too.

I have used Papas Poultry in the past and the eggs were fine, but they are about an hour away from me so the journey for the eggs was relatively easy. It is getting later in the year though so their inventory might not be great. I have never used MPC so I can't help you there. People do love them though!
I would try local first. Texas has lots of breeders of lots of breeds! Good luck!

Yeah I know I’m taking a risk with the distance but I’ve had eggs shipped before. However she lived in Texas. I would have used her again but she doesn’t have any eggs right now. Well I just I can’t really predict what will happen. I’ll just check the eggs when I get them and place them u set mama hen. And candlelight them at 7ish days. Fingers crossed
