Help with swollen face and misaligned beak

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone knows whats going on here. 10 week old cream legbar with a very badly swollen face causing her beak to be mis- aligned. I have 2 other chicks the same age and 4 adult hens with no signs of being sick. I dont know if this was due to an injury or what but she is having a hard time eating.

Did you note the bubbles in the bird's eye? I am not an expert, perhaps we can call someone who knows more than I do.

Interesting observation. For some reason I did not notice the bubbles. What's interesting is that one other chicken (an adult) had an issue with one of her eyes fairly recently but seems to have resolved itself. Her eye was swollen and had frothy bubbles but not nearly as bad as my leg bar chick. None of my other birds are sick and they all sleep in the same coop.

Yeah, I guess I need to find a chicken vet in the Dallas area..

Find one quickly.
This bird most likely has something very contagious.
A simple swab test will let you know exactly What you're dealing with and how to move forward.

A sinus infection like this needs antibiotics and it's quite possible it will need to be lanced too.
