I have been having issues with water in my tractor. The main issue is that my property is not flat, so each day I move the tractor, and each day I try to "level" the water with pieces of slate I have. Yet even when it appears level, by the next day it's leaked out everywhere.

I have attached a picture of the tractor so that you can see there isn't a way to hang the water. But are there any other options? I am currently using a 3.5gal poultry drinker from tractor supply http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/harris-farms-poultry-drinker-35-gal-capacity

While on the water topic - any way to keep them from pooping in their water?

Thank you so much for any advise!

This may help.
Mount the nipples in the pen mount the supply on the side or back. This will work even if it is not level as long as the supply is higher than the nipples. Sketch shows a float valve for auto fill and all configurations take your pick of what will work for you.

Thank you for the response, but my water container is not like that, no nipples on it and the tractor is too small for that type of device. I'll keep it in mind for sure when I decide to grow my flock! :)

At the very bottom of this forum is the Buy Sell Trade section, take a look around in the ":Everything Else" sub forum and look for you an automatic waterer system. There are several that people have for sale, most of them work great if you are careful with your installation and follow the instructions. You will never get your current waterer to not leak unless you can keep it level, it has to do with air displaces water physics.

With an auto system there is no way for your birds to poop in the water so they stay much cleaner than an open waterer.
