Help! Worms in the Incubator!

Ok so a few days ago I bought a guys set up for quail. He gave me his Styrofoam incubator full of hatching eggs with all different hatch dates. When he got new eggs he just put them in the incubator. Last night I noticed worms on a few of the eggs. I cleaned them off and cleaned out the incubator the best I could. Threw out about half of the eggs that were going rotten. Today there were more worms. I manged to save a chick that had just hatched and another is pipping. I cleaned the eggs and put them in my incubator. Is there anything else I can do?
You moved all of the eggs out of this wormy incubator?

Yes I cleaned them and moved them into my nurture right 360. They all have different hatch days so Im hand rolling them several times a day. I have had 5 more chicks hatch out so far.

Probably the maggots are living in the incubator material itself. They can burrow in styrofoam, I think.
Did nobody tell that guy that you have to check to be sure all the eggs are developing?

He said he just kept adding eggs. Never went through them just waited for some to hatch. I threw away about half of them that were rotten or not fertilized.
I threw the incubator away. I tried cleaning it some and decided it wasn't worth it.

What a nightmare! @SharkyMustang im glad you threw that thing out and i shudder to think of the condition of his property. You said u got live adult birds from him too? what kinda shape are they in? Might be able to help.

They are in good condition. He was selling out of everything quail. I don’t think he had them for long to begin with. I wanted the coop they were in and my mom has been wanting quail so they are hers and I got their enclosure. He had them in one of the little chicken coops and runs you can set on the ground but he added legs and a floor to make it off the ground. I moved them to a hutch we had so they have a lot more shade to get out of the heat. I moved my seramas into their old coop. I don’t know what breeds they are other than a few jumbo.
