A nice 14F at the moment. It was cold last week. "Cold" for me is less than -20C/-14F. That's when it starts getting bothersome, with exposed skin, electronics, vehicles (our snowmobile broke because of the cold, how ironic is that? Haha), the well etc.

We'll have a few days of ok temps, before a few more days of cold...

What I REALLY want is a monday-friday around 0C, warm enough for eggs to be shipped in the mail! I probably have to wait until March for the eggs I ordered in January to arrive.

Oh bummer about your sled, it’s always the way. My co-worker was out sledding this weekend sunny but darn cold!

Icelandic chickens! I got some Icelandic hens last year, and I love them, they're a lot of fun, naturally tame, not all the same color and very hardy. Therefore I decided to have only those and breed pure. I've always been a backyard mix'er, so breeding actual breeds is new to me. haha!

I specifically asked the breeder for eggs from rosecombs. Some of the hens I already have, have huge combs, very susceptible to frostbite. My goal is to breed a small-comb-only line.

Yep h3ll has officially froze over! Had a heck of a time getting the trucks doors open, they froze shut with the snow melting around the doors. Thank goodness for remote start! Had to warm the truck up to thaw the doors!

Not humid, foggy! That happen to me with the last cold spell, the ice melted in the door locks and refroze overnight...had to get hot water to pour on the door locks to thaw them out!

Monday: 5:15pm, 82°F, dew point 50°F, humidity 33%, wind SSE @ 10mph, clear, sunny! High today was 84°F at 3:39pm. Sunset @ 6:15pm.

-9C (16F) clouding over when I came in around 7pm. Snow on the way and a warm up - finally!

Overnight temps still cold, it will be at least a month before overnight temps start to approach the freezing point regularly.
