Help! Wry neck or....?!

She may have had a form of wry neck that was more genetic than a vitamin imbalance. Now her neck bones are fusing permanently to the deformed shape. Further vitamins are not going to change her situation at this point.

Your only option besides euthanasia, is to keep her as a disabled chicken house pet. She will transfer her need for a flock onto your family and be content. However, she will not be independent and will require a lot of special attention. It's your call. Just know that it will entail certain demands on your time.

Euthanasia is compassionate. It's not killing when you are ending a life of a chick that really has no chance of being normal.

The other birds are likely to harass or kill her, sorry. I doubt that this will end well for her.

With three active, young kids and two active dogs (including a 7mo puppy), keeping her as a house pet is not an option. And I agree that euthanasia is compassionate having made that decision for several beloved dogs. At 4 weeks old, I'm anxious that I'd be unable to cut or snap her neck. The engine starter fluid may not be humane. Has anyone tried the baking soda method?

Try some spinach or Swiss chard,kale even raw seeds and some sav a chick

Unfortunately, she ignores most treats I put in her box (other than hardboiled egg). And she's been on Vitamin E, selenium and poly-vi-sol for awhile...

You could actually cut her head off, which is quick but messy. Or consider taking her to the vet's. Call ahead and see if they will do a compassionate euthanasia for your chick.
It's sad but necessary.
