One of our 3 eggs hatched this morning. Was super exciting to watch! Just got back from getting my son at school and there is a strange yellowish liquid in the incubator now. Another egg just popped but the liquid does not look like it came from that egg, but it's close to it. The chick that hatched seems life moving around and partially dry (it came out at 7:18am est and it's now 12:45pm est). Not sure if we should be worried or need to do anything. There is also some of the sack (I assume) that came out of the egg with the first this am that's still inside. I have been so stressed waiting for these little ones to hatch (they are our first for incubating). Havent slept a wink since it pipped yesterday at 6:30pm lol

Update: second chick hatched and appears strong. 1st chick got moved to brooder for trying to peck the new baby :-/ think it was SUPA hungry lol

The yellow liquid was probably liquid that was inside the egg with the chick and wasn't lost during incubation. It just means your humidity throughout incubation might have been a tad too high. As long as the chicks are healthy, I wouldn't worry too much about it :)

Oh! Thank goodness. It happened with the second egg too. Both are doing well this far. Has them on hydro hen from the moment they got in the brooder (because they were pullet eggs so kinda tiny). Here is my second baby that hatched. Still slightly wet but was not drying off in incubator well to increased broker heat and sat it in there and fluffed up finally! Still one more to go! Finally pipped this am
