Hi everyone I haven't posted in a while because she kept getting worse until she eventually passed away last night. Now, because of the pandemic we don't want to get a new duckling for the moment because since ducklings are fragile we wouldn't be able to help her if she got sick because of how complicated getting things is here in Bolivia. That's why we're considering getting a chick for our Pekin male. I heard chickens are more resistant to disease than ducks? And if we got one would the chicken be able to provide company for the duck? Our Pekin is a very independent duck and very aggresive and we do have a dog in the house (she has her own area) who can sort of keep him company but would the chicken be able to accompany the duck? Also we want to purchase antibiotics, syringes, feeding tubes and more so that in the future if our Pekin gets sick we'll have everything necessary to treat her. What are some good antibiotics that you could recommend we get for prevention?
