I found two baby chicks and decided I should be there new momma but any idea on what they are (besides chickens) or the gender?? Any help please

Where does one find day old chicks?

The little black one will be something barred - per the dot on the head. The little gold/red one will be one of the red breeds. Gender can't be determined at this point - but in another 6 weeks or so should be becoming fairly clear if you post photos then.

I found them by a wall at our local petsmart I thought is was dog fluff but it kept peeping so I picked them up brought them in the store where I was promptly told to leave I took them to a feed and tack store and asked how not to kill them (they were very helpful) so I now have two chicks

Glad you found them. People dump anything they don't want - there is no way they would have survived on their own.

Poor sweet baby's I couldn't just leave them they are so sweet
