Hi guys can you tell me what this is I went to check for eggs & found it Instead of a egg at the moment I only have one girl laying which is my bantam & she has laid a egg everyday for over a week?
I was just told on my Facebook page its a lash egg that she will never lay again or I might loose her is this true? 20170707_163422.jpg

It is a lash egg, and it means she has an infection in her oviduct. A poultry vet can treat her. It is not considered contagious from what i read. Good luck.

Yes it is a lash egg but it doesn't necessary mean that whoever laid it will die. It is an infection, but sometimes (and not always) it resolves itself. I had a lash egg last year and since it was laid overnight I could not tell which of my hens laid it. I was expecting that eventually one of them will show signs of illness but it never happened. Hopefully this will happen to you but watch out for any sign that tells you that there is something wrong.

Thank you everyone for ur help :) I will have a read of the links....I went out this morning & she laid a Perfect egg.
