This is Omelette. Came from a classroom hatch. Got the chick at three weeks and was supposed to be temporary but we decided to keep it. I've posted in a few fb groups in different contexts and everyone has said barred rock pullet. Now I have people insisting it's a cockerel and not a barred rock, one woman got pretty nasty about it when I asked questions to understand what she was seeing. I tried googling and can't seem to get a straight answer. The first two photos are from three weeks old when we got the chick and then aged til now at 13 weeks. Now the same size as my 19 week marans. The last photo the tail looks more curled than it is, as shown in the ones where the bird is upright.

A black sex link cockerel. The darker barring (compared to a barred rock cockerel) often causes confusion prior to the eruption of bright comb/ wattle

You know @Ol Grey Mare
You are always so helpful & informative!
I was wondering too because the first few pix look like my barred rock Tango, but with a longer pointier tail.
@Nikole So sorry Omelette is a roo!
