My chickens and guineas are making holes in the yard to dust in. Would they use a sandbox?

You could try to put a sand box or kiddie pool with sand/dirt in with them.. but it would depend on your set up and it may not work.. or only some of the birds will use it. Once chickens find what they like I have witnessed, that the change is difficult for them.

I've had success with filling a sandbox with a mix of dirt, ash, and safe dried plant material.
Still, they might decide their own DIY holes are more to taste.

You could take to sand box and put earth in it along with Diatomaceous Earth. They might like it.

Doesn't hurt to try giving them a sandbox to use. You'll probably find that even if they use it and like it, they'll still dig some holes around.
