One of my hatching chicks has pipped through the shell and some of the shell pieces has flaked off, there is also blood, its from the veins not the chick. What do I do? I have been keeping the exposed membrane moist and letting the chick have air (its beak is the only part through) Any advice is appreciated...

Leave it alone... the more you continue to open the bator, the worse it's chance are. Just keep your humidity up.

The chick has air or it wouldn't be alive.

How many more are hatching? What day ya on?

Happy hatching! :fl:jumpy:jumpy

Thanks for the advice, its my last egg to hatch and its 2 days late! Its still doing ok and the veins are being absorbed so it should be out in a little while... :fl
