I just checked him again with my boyfriend and he retracted almost ALL of it, there’s less then half an inch sticking out now!

Can you gently pull on it so you can see what the rest of it looks like?

Okay, that's great! Maybe just keep an eye on it then. Do keep him inside until the problem is resolved though.

yes he will be inside for quiet a while, I checked again earlier and it is fully retracted! I’m so happy and very thankful for you all, thanks for keeping me calm and helping me along the way! You’re a great group of people and I’m very happy I joined this website I’ll keep you posted on him
