I just hatched my very 1st time in my incubator an the little thing pipped yesterday an took about 5 to 6 hours to hatch completely but when it hatched it had like a string hanging from its honey an a small peice of shell which is gone this morning but ia it normal for thia baby to just lay around an not really move a lot its breathing an all just worried sick over thia baby

Chicks after they hatch just sleep and sleep. Every now and then they take two steps and go back to sleeping. They don’t become very active til day 2 or 3. But still sleep sleep sleep
