help?!?!

Also, keep in mind that collies are herding dogs, so it is likely he/she will try to herd your ducks. Another thing, did you ask your mom the reason she doesn't want ducks? If you know why, then maybe you can find a way to fix the problem. I did this a lot when asking to get my Yorkie. I would do research, ask my parents why not to get one, then give them an answer based off the information I already know. If I didn't know, i would research some more, then find a solution to the problem. It worked! Rosie is almost a year old now.

Like you said she doesn't like the grass being destroyed in the yard there might be things you could do to limit them from free ranging in the yard, like DuckyDonna asked if you could put them in a pen? Maybe only have them free range around the yard a few days while the rest could be in their run? You could make the run portable and move it around the yard so the spots where the run was have time to grow back. I'm not sure how many ducks you have but ducks typically need 3-5 square feet per duck in a run. If she doesn't think ducks are like cats and dogs, maybe have her watch as they play in the pool or as you feed them treats, everyone seems to warm up to ducks after seeing go for a swim. If funds are a issue maybe start selling the eggs to help pay for all the feed, treats, etc. the ducks need.

Good ideas! I would definitely try the portable run. The grass will grow back even better from duck fertilizer.
