What is this?!

Went to get my ducks for a bath and found this spot on one of them, I have no idea where it came from! It just showed up in the last day or 2!
There is no punctuation wound.

I dont think she was attacked since they're still in the brooder. I'm in Virginia I'll add that to my account now.

Looks like some has been chewy on her. You haven’t had them outside where flies could have gotten on this.

Not sure where you are in Virginia but it looks like on google there at least 3 within the state,
