I don't know if I can handle him. He is friendly, comes right up to me when I have food and clucks when I open the door. But he is skittish.Can you handle him? If you can, try to build a small coop (or just get a dog crate) and put him in it every night and let him out in the mornings. He'll stay safer in a coop or dog crate than on his own.

Thank you so much!!Here's a link to a nice little coop that could hold him and any more birds that you'd like to get if you want him outside. If you want to get more birds, look for threads on chick brooding. I have a blog post on introducing chicks to your flock, but if you want to raise pullets and introduce them to your rooster, it'll be best to wait until they're his size.
