This is the first time I’m hatching eggs I have Ancona duck eggs and it’s day 28 and some of my eggs still have not piped should I be worried? Does this mean they will not hatch?

Some birds will pip later than others. You may have some that do not hatch at all. Be patient and see what they do for the next 24 hours. Good luck!

Okay thank you so much I was wondering if you could help me with another question I had a egg pip and was not making any progress I read after 48 hours I may need to assist so I did carefully and it’s been about almost 3hours since I did that and I left it alone I checked on the little baby and it seems like something is wrong they are not walking correctly

I'm not as familiar with ducklings as I am with chicks. I would suggest you post a thread in the duck section, and maybe include some pictures of your duckling.

My personal experience with assisted hatching has not been that great, it seems that often there's something wrong with those chicks, but some do make it and grow to be normal birds.

Okay, couple of things, first have you candled the eggs? if no then you probably should candle the big end and look for movement....that will tell you a lot about if theres anything going on in there. Feel free to post pictures of what you see and we can help that way.

As for the duck that has hatched thats not walking right? pics? videos?

Check its belly, does it look like it has a hernia? how do the legs look? what is it doing exactly?
