HELP

Ok thank you. I will give it a try. I’m new to this. There is a bunch of black gu on the cord. Any idea what that is?
Hatching junk/poo.

Do not pull or touch on any of that.
Can you get a clear closer up picture of its butt area with all the gunk?

I do not see anything that needs to be cut off of its butt.
I do not see anything attached to a shell.
There is black gu and and u can’t see it. It’s a piece of shell. But I also think maybe one of its legs could be hurt,

I started hatching button quail. I had one egg that started to break open and never did. It has been a day and no progress. I helped it out a little and it managed to get out. But the cord is still attached to a bit of its shell and its falling every time it walks. What do I do? I have to put it in the brooder soon
If it looks thin and starting to dry, you can cut it with scissors. Otherwise, leave it alone, and it will detach on its own.
