I let my 4 Black Spanish Heritage turkeys out this morning. Two males, two females. They free-range with the rest of my flock, ducks, chickens, geese. I noticed that someone has been pecking at her head. She's been half scalped! I've isolated her, but not sure how to treat it. She seems to be doing ok at the moment. I'm not sure who have done it either. Any help would be appreciated.

Clean the wound. Depending on the location you could try saline irrigation unless it would run into her eyes or nostrils.

Cover the wound with plain antibiotic ointment. ( No pain reliever added).

Keep it covered in ointment, so it doesn't dry out. I'd keep her separated for a day or two just to make sure the others aren't picking at it. Also to give her some rest and good nutrition.

With out a picture it's hard to tell how deep it is but unless something else is going on she should be fine.
