HELP!

Day 23 and I have removed some of the outer shell, but it's not much further on (thinking it could be a male), but going to read the article on here before helping further. (I have watched a lot of 'A Chick Called Albert' on youtube.) 😊

I read that if they look like they're chewing they're still absorbing the yolk ... took a small bit of video, but don't know if it'll help. He just looks content all snuggled up.

Couldn't attach video.

To attach a video, you can post it on YouTube first, then link it back to here.

How is it doing now? If it's the same, it might need that membrane moistened with a bit of olive or coconut oil.

another update: chick 2 hatched. It was unexpected, I just woke up this morning and there he was! Very healthy and getting along with chick 1.

3 days post hatching and baby is still 'in his egg' despite my 'helping' and him bleeding. I've removed a lot of the shell but somebody said if he looks like he's chewing, he's still absorbing yolk. At this point I'd say mum might have dropped a 'double yolker' if he's still eating. But he's still very much alive, though nothing from the other two eggs that were incubated at the same time. I'd have a shock if suddenly tomorrow they all 'hatched' lol.

Thank you. He's still going strong after 3 days ... I'm thinking it was a double yolker lol
Yea, on day three still absorbing, your most likely right, it’s probably a double lol. He seems to be doing better. He’s lucky he has someone like you to help him through this. I really hope he’ll be ok.
