New to having ducks. I had two ducklings I got June 1st together from a flower shop. Both ended up being drakes. One died last night and my other one is so lonely and depressed. The place I got them from has 2 1 year old females. Would that help make him a bit happier while he grieves or what can I do to help him

I don’t know much about ducks, but I would suggest getting a friend for him.

Getting him the two hens should help him get over the grief. They are flock animals and are happiest being with their own kind.

Yes get him 2 females. He will love having his own flock

Getting two is better than just getting one. That way if you should happen to lose another one (heaven forfend), you won't be stuck with another "lonely only" situation. Better luck going forward, and I am sorry for your loss.
