My dog started barking so i went to the window and there was a huge tom cat by my chicken coop so i got the bb gun and tryed to shoot it but it ran away when i opened the door what do i do.

What I would do is, leave a window open enough to fit a gun barrel though. That way you make no noise opening the door. If you live on a large poperty, use a BIGGER GUN. The cat will be back and next time you may not be home.

We haven't had problems with neighbor cats but I would be leary!! And as Boyd said, be quicker, glad you were alerted!

Get a trap. Use it. Take the cat to the local animal shelter. Or resort to SSS. Which ever you like best.
