She should come around, it will take a while, but with gentle attention and treats she will figure out you are not the bad guy. They can go outside when they get all their feathers in, or if it's really warm out (but then only for a little while). Not all roo's are obnoxious, so you'll have to wait and see.....

Back to the boy girl issue, Short answer: I don't know.

I think it really depends on the rooster, and you won't know his temperament until he is trying to mate, but it seems in most cases you do want another hen. Having another female around will take some of the stress off the one you have.

hey thanx for the info as i write this my baby rooster sits in my hand,so cute! anyways i recieved these as a gift and i would like to not get another hen cause if i do waanna get her when `she's young ,but i must`wait? when will their feathers be` fully grown?
