The idea behind taking them inside and taking pics is to show that they are as much pets as your dog, assuming you let your 'pet' dog come inside. So, the two are treated no differently and you see them equally as pets.
I hope things work out for you, Cheeks. Even if you have a coop, it doesn't mean the hens aren't domesticated. My favorite hen gets brought into the house for a handful of oatmeal occasionally. 'Outside dogs' have doghouses but go inside the house at times - doesn't make them less tame or domesticated.

This is exactly what i was getting at. Chickens can be inside/outside pets just the same as a dog or cat. I was trying to equate the two and say that if you had 'inside' pics of the chickens, it would help to do the same for the judge.
All the online dictionaries and encyclopedias i looked in consider chickens to be domesticated and describe domestication pro chickens. I would take some definitions from well know sources along to help prove your point.
Good luck!!!!
You could start by informing them of the latin name for chickens....... Gallus Domesticus. They can hardly argue that chickens arent domesticated when their latin name includes the word "domesticated".
There is a rule in law. Laws must be clear and able to be understood by the avarage person, if they are not clear they do not meet the standards of law and are thrown out.
Since this law is unclear (what is a domesticated and tame animal) it could be shown to "Not meet the rule of law".
I studied this a little but not enough to be of much use so, youll need to follow this idea with the help of someone more knowlegable then I.
