I have this pure breed pekin Frizzle Bantam that we rescued from a lady that did not want her anymore. Now I was told she is aprooxamitly 6 years old and when we got her she was bald and skinny and no longer laid eggs, since then we have had her for three months and she is full of feathers and fat. But in the last week she has gone off her food and has lost alot of weight, her poo is really runny and smells really bad. She sleeps inside the house in a box with a blanket and I have noticed that she has become a lot less settled during the night. So can anyone help with might be wrong her

It might be old age, if she wasn't treaterd very well where she was before, that may have shortened her life. Chickens can live between 6-15, 15 being kinda rare though. Sorry for your hen!

I was thinking worming as well depending on the conditions she came from she may have a heavy worm load. You can try feeding her cooked oatmeal and scrambled eggs. When my one pullet had an injury the vet suggested feeding her this to perk her appetite again. Hope this helps.

We tried the scrambled eggs and that has helped, but it is still early days. Thank you for all the suggestions, I didn't think I would get all this help I really appreciate it
