Help!

Have no idea where the tan is coming from.
Why did the chicken cross the road?

I had a strange colour scheme come out in one of my batches once. Then one day I crossed the road and saw the neighbour has a rooster that looks exactly like my chicks. Naughty mom hen!
You don't have to separate the hen and the chick from each other, if that's what you mean. Hens usually wean their chicks after about 7-8 weeks. Though some do go longer.

LOL, I hope not! Will she get too stressed if I seperate them before the weaning process begins?

Neither she nor the chicks would be happy if you do that. Best to leave the weaning to her if possible.

It's pretty

Yea :) all the other are like the mother and have fluff but this little one (think it is a roo :( has those feather things.

*pictures may be disturbing*
poor little guy got so close to hatching :(
I'm not sure what I did but all his organs seem to be growing out his bottom. He was also very big and we knew something was up when the airsac started outlining his features. He was kicking just 5 days ago. Other bantam has gone broody so we have put the last egg under her.

Poor baby
