HELP!!!

I hesitate to throw this out there, because they are just little ducklings, but I believe some people put a dab of Preparation H on swollen vents. I have also heard of putting honey on the vent.

Take a look at this, especially post number 22 - it refers to Preparation H, honey, and vaseline.

Poor babies. Poor duck parents.

oh no ! I hope everything turns out okay, i know how excited you were to receive your ducklings! Let us all know how things are in morning :)

Hey everyone ! So after a restless nights sleep I went to the barn to find 3 happy ducks awaiting me! I was so relieved she made it thru the night and was peeping away ! I put them all in the tub and she went 2x in there ! I think the upped ACV and all the warm water treatments really have helped! I have seen her eat a lil more and her vent looks like the others now but it's still runny. Im still nervous as she's only 3 days old but it's progress !

Oh Good! That is wonderful to hear! Si guess we just continue with the treatments until she is all cleared up!

We've never had this problem, but it might help to get some greens (I used dandelion), chop it up really fine and give it to them. Might help and couldn't hurt. :idunno

I was wondering if they could have that this young ... But I guess if they were with their mother they would be having all sorts of things .. I have peas frozen . I could thaw some and smash them ? Is that green enough? So far they will eat their feed outta my hand and nibble on my bracelets lol they are all quite friendly ;)

Don't see why not, but I would think that fresh would be slightly better.

You can give it to them, just not to much the first time. I agree it would probably be good for them!
