i live in the middle of nowwhere and i have 14000 sq metres of land which is not fenced in.
at the moment they are living in the shed with acces to a shaded\sunny area outside
we dont have many pedators here ie no foxes etc buts we do have a rabbit hunting season where they go out with the dogs but that only lasts a months i keep them in at night so that shouldnt be a problem
as i live with soo much open ground should i clip their wings also how old are they when they first fligh

They have to be around 12 weeks before you trim their wing. flight feathers have to be in, I just trimmed mine and they are 12 weeks old. Sounds like an ideal place for them, still I'd watch them closely since they are still young and always lock them up at night. When you first turn them out go with them and take something they really like to eat [Mine go bonkers for meal worms] then while your all walking around go to where your keeping them at night and call or whistle, if you call always use the same word/words like night night duckies or whistle. I whistle and mine come a running. then when they come to where you are give them their treat and always give them their treat there till you absolutely know they will go in of a night into their house. It's like training a dog and ducks aren't much different they like routine. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/806587/duck-wings-clipped-but-still-flying#post_11757538
