Help! I got brought a baby bird, the mother had been run over by their golf cart (at their high school golf tournament) and I want to save it, I have an 11 day old baby finch that I saved (it had fallen from the nest) as well as a duckling that I hatched that part of its skull never formed and part of its brain is out of its skull.. It's awful.. But she's 4 days old and strong. Just can't get footing or controlled movement yet. But does anyone know what kind? I have some of this breed here on my ranch, but never tried to save one. Also don't know the name...

Should I use bread soaked in milk as I did with my baby finch?? I also dug up worms every day as well.

It's a killdeer chick, try giving it some small bugs like mealworms...or if your squeamish/can't get them a little raw hamburger will work. I've raised many a baby bird on hamburger lol! ;)

Kildeer chicks{if their healthy enough}, feed themselves. So just feed him what an adult Kildeer would normally eat. Like invertebrates, worms, snails, beetles, and insect larvae, I suppose.
