I noticed one day one of my hens was bleeding by her tail. So I moved her tail feathers to try and find the wound. When I grabbed her tail her whole back lifted off. Like something had tried to skin her starting with her tail and jeering upwards to her head. All of her back skin was no longer attached to her body. So I just set her back flap back down and in a month you couldn't tell anything had happened to her. She's still doing good 2 years later. It's crazy what an animal can survive when they have very little nervous system to tell them they are in pain.
